What are tail butt plugs?

A tail butt plug is an anal plug with a tail fixed to its base. How to choose tail butt plugs

Think of the plug and the tail as two separate decisions.

• Plug size: most tail plugs are small to medium, but check the insertable size. If you are new to anal play, pick the smallest, or look at our beginners butt plugs first.
• Plug material: silicone is soft and flexible, glass and metal are firm and heavy.
• Tail length: long fox and pony tails sway and look dramatic but can get caught; short bunny tails are practical for wearing around the house.
• Base: every plug here should have a flared base or a wide stopper under the tail so it cannot slip inside.

How to use and care for tail butt plugs

Use plenty of lubricant and insert the plug slowly before attaching or arranging the tail. Choose a water-based lubricant for silicone plugs; glass and metal are fine with any type. Keep the fur clear of lube where you can, and remove the plug if anything feels uncomfortable. Stop if anything hurts.

• Wash the plug with warm soapy water or a toy cleaner before and after use, keeping the fur out of the water.
• Spot clean faux fur with a damp cloth and mild soap, then brush and air dry; never put it in a dryer.
• Remove bullets or batteries before washing vibrating models.
• Store hanging or laid flat so the tail does not get crushed, and away from other silicone toys.
