What are anal care products?
Anal care products help you rinse the rectum before anal sex or toy play so you can relax and focus on the fun. The main tool is a douche: a soft bulb or bottle filled with lukewarm water, fitted with a nozzle. This collection includes silicone bulb douches from Prowler, b-Vibe, Renegade and Inya, Cleanstream bulbs and bottles with interchangeable attachments, shower enema kits and slim hoses that connect to a shower fitting, enema syringes and a pouch from AquaClean, automatic rechargeable enemas, travel sets with a one-way valve, douche sets with a flared base, and replacement silicone tips and adapters.
Types of anal care products
Bulb douches
The simplest and most common choice. Squeeze the bulb to fill it, insert the nozzle gently, squeeze again to release water, then let it go on the toilet. Silicone bulbs are soft and easy to clean; compact sizes travel well.
Shower enemas and hoses
Cleanstream, Hosed and Prowler Red systems screw onto a shower hose or diverter and give a steady, controllable flow with no refilling. These are for people who clean regularly and want convenience, and they demand careful attention to water temperature and pressure.
Enema syringes and pouches
AquaClean syringes draw a measured amount of water for a controlled rinse, and AquaClean also offers a pouch-style enema. Cleanstream's syringe comes with attachments.
Automatic and rechargeable enemas
Cleanstream's rechargeable and spinning automatic models pump water for you at the press of a button, which removes the need to squeeze and reach.
Nozzles, tips and adapters
Poseable nozzles, flexible tips from Perfect Fit, beaded and flared-base nozzles and Boneyard adapters that convert a shower fitting. Replacing a tip is cheaper than replacing a system.
How to choose an anal care product
Think about how often you will use it, where, and how much control you want over the water.
- Frequency: occasional users are well served by a bulb; frequent users often move to a shower system.
- Control: syringes and pouches give the gentlest, most measured rinse; shower hoses give the most volume and need the most care.
- Comfort: look for a soft, smooth silicone nozzle, a tapered tip and a flared base or stopper so it cannot go too deep.
- Portability: compact bulbs and travel sets with a one-way valve fit a wash bag; shower kits stay at home.
- Cleaning: designs that come apart fully are easier to dry, which matters because a damp bulb is where problems start.
How to use and care for anal care products
Use plain lukewarm water, never hot and never cold, and only a small amount at a time. Lubricate the nozzle with a water-based lubricant, insert it slowly while relaxed, and stop if anything hurts.
- Release the water slowly, hold it for a short while, then let it go on the toilet. Repeat gently once or twice until the water runs clear, and leave time afterwards before play.
- Keep shower system pressure low and test the temperature on your wrist first.
- Do not douche every day or more than you need to; frequent rinsing can leave you feeling sore or unsettled.
- Wash the bulb and nozzle after every use with warm water and a toy cleaner, pull it apart and let every piece dry fully before storing.
- Never share a douche, and replace one that discolours, cracks or smells.
