What are costumes?

Costumes here are lingerie-weight outfits built around a character or theme: a nurse, a maid, a bunny, a witch, a cheerleader or a Santa's helper. They are cut to show skin and come off easily, with garter bodysuits, velvet crop tops, mini skirts and matching headpieces doing most of the work. Nurse, maid and uniform sets

Leg Avenue's Red Alert Nurse, Nurse Feelgood garter bodysuit and Nurse Teddy with hat headband, and its Maid to Order, Foxy Frenchie and Flirty French Maid outfits are the classics, built around a garter bodysuit or sheer bra top with an apron, choker and headpiece. How to wear and care for costumes

Try the costume on before the night so you know how the pieces fasten and whether anything needs pinning or tucking. Keep accessories together in a bag.

  • Hand wash costumes in cold water with a gentle detergent, rinse well and hang or lay flat to dry; never tumble dry.
  • Remove headbands, clips and jewelry before washing and spot clean vinyl and faux fur with a damp cloth.
  • Wipe vegan leather harnesses and masks rather than washing them, and fasten buckles before storing.
  • Keep sequins and rhinestones away from rough fabrics.
