Cojines y cuñas para posiciones

Positioning wedges and pillows are shaped supports that lift the hips, tilt the pelvis or prop a body at a comfortable angle. The collection ranges from inflatable pillows and bolsters to structured cushions, cushions with attached cuffs, inflatable seats with a mounted dildo and vibrating cushions with a built-in motor.

Think about who it needs to support and where it will live. Inflatables pack away; solid cushions stay firm under weight and double as discreet bedroom furniture.

What are positioning wedges and pillows?

A positioning wedge or pillow is a firm, shaped support designed for sex. Placed under the hips, lower back, knees or chest, it changes the angle of the body so positions feel easier to hold, deeper or more comfortable, and it takes strain off wrists, knees and backs. Ordinary pillows compress and slide; purpose-made wedges hold their shape. The collection also includes close relatives: inflatable pillows and bolsters, position cushions with cuffs, vibrating cushions, inflatable seats with a mounted vibrating dildo and a positioning bar.

Types of positioning wedges and pillows

Solid wedges and ramps

The Sportsheets Pivot Positioner Wedge and Positioner Plus Cushion, the WhipSmart Try-Angle and Mini Try-Angle cushions and the Bedroom Bliss Love Cushion and Contoured Love Cushion are firm, angled supports that stay put under weight. Slide one under the hips for an easier angle, or stack two shapes for more height. Frisky's Spread Me positioning aid is a simpler support.

Inflatable position pillows

The Fetish Fantasy Series Position Master in standard, Ultra, Heavy Duty and Deluxe versions, the Sportsheets Pivot Inflatable Positioner and Positioner Plus, the WhipSmart Bangin' Bolster, the Frisky Mount Me pillow and the Lux Fetish inflatable wedge are lighter and more affordable. They deflate for travel or discreet storage and let you adjust firmness with air, though they have more give than a solid wedge.

Bondage cushions and wedges with cuffs

The Fetish Fantasy Series Position Master with Cuffs and Deluxe Position Master inflatable pillow with cuffs, and the Lux Fetish inflatable wedge with detachable cuffs, combine positioning with light restraint. As with any restraint, make sure cuffs release quickly and agree on a check-in word first. Our restraints collection has more options.

Vibrating cushions and inflatable seats

The Bedroom Bliss Love Rider is a rechargeable position cushion with vibration built in, and the Evolved Tart Teaser is a rechargeable silicone bullet in a wedge shape. They pair naturally with our wider vibrators range. The Fetish Fantasy Series Inflatable Hot Seat and Luv Log position pillow come with a vibrating dildo and remote mounted on top for ride-on, hands-free play; a plain Hot Seat is also available. The Sportsheets Pivot Positioning Bar and Partner Pillow round out the Pivot line.

How to choose a positioning wedge or pillow

Most people are happiest with a single, well-chosen wedge. Ask these questions first.

  • Height and angle: A lower wedge lifts the hips for missionary and oral positions; a taller ramp or a wedge-and-ramp pair supports kneeling and from-behind positions.
  • Solid or inflatable: Solid cushions are more stable and last longer; inflatables cost less, weigh less and are easier to hide or travel with.
  • Cover and cleaning: Look for a removable, washable or wipe-clean cover. The cushion will see lubricant.
  • Extras: Decide whether you want cuffs, vibration or a mounted dildo built in, or whether a plain wedge plus toys you already own does the job.

How to use and care for positioning wedges and pillows

Place the wedge, settle the person who needs support on it, and adjust before adding weight. Start low and work up; the point is comfort, not contortion.

  • Clean spills promptly. Water-based lubricant washes out of fabric far more easily than silicone or oil-based lube.
  • Follow the care label; many covers can be washed, while the inner cushion should only be spot cleaned and air dried.
  • Inflate inflatables firmly but not to bursting, keep them away from sharp jewelry and heat, and check for slow leaks.
  • Wipe cuffs or vibrating units with a toy cleaner after use, and recharge vibrating cushions as the manual directs.
  • Stop and readjust if a position causes joint or back discomfort.

Positioning wedges for couples, limited mobility and solo play

Wedges are among the most useful purchases a couple can make, because they solve a practical problem; our for couples collection has more ideas in that spirit. They are also invaluable for anyone with limited mobility, a stiff back or a height difference with a partner. Solo, a wedge angles the body for comfortable use of a dildo or vibrator, and an inflatable seat with a mounted dildo keeps your hands free.

Preguntas frecuentes

Cojines y cuñas para posiciones: preguntas frecuentes

What does a sex position wedge actually do?

It lifts and tilts part of the body, usually the hips, so positions are easier to hold and angles change. That can make penetration more comfortable, reach spots that are hard to reach on a flat bed, and take strain off knees, wrists and backs during longer sessions.

Is an inflatable position pillow as good as a solid wedge?

It depends on priorities. Solid wedges are firmer, more stable and generally longer lasting. Inflatables are lighter, cost less, store flat and let you tune the firmness. If you want something discreet to put away between uses, inflatable is the practical choice.

How do I clean a positioning cushion?

Remove the cover if it comes off and wash it according to its label. Spot clean the cushion itself with a damp cloth and mild soap, then let it air dry fully. Wipe down inflatables and any cuffs with a toy cleaner or mild soap after each use.

Which position wedge is good for beginners?

A single low wedge or a mini cushion is the easiest place to start. It is simple to position, works for the most common positions and does not feel intimidating. Try it under the hips first, then under the knees or chest, before considering ramps or cushions with cuffs.

Are positioning wedges useful for people with limited mobility?

Many people with limited mobility, joint stiffness or a height difference with a partner find a wedge makes sex more comfortable because it supports the body and reduces strain. Start low, change angles slowly, and stop if any position hurts. They are a comfort aid, not a medical device.
