Masaje y cuerpo

What are massage and body products?

These are products made for touching someone slowly and deliberately. Massage candles are poured from a tin of scented wax that melts into a warm oil you drizzle onto the skin; many here have a pour spout and cheeky printed messages on the lid. Massage oils come ready to use in a bottle, scented with vanilla, lavender, lime and coconut, blue lotus, leather or fruit blends. Some are infused with pheromone fragrance, some are built around hemp seed oil, and a few are sold as holiday or gift sets. All of them are for external use on the body.

Types of massage and body products

Massage candles

Kama Sutra, Sex Magnet and Sensuva candles in small tins, from mini sizes for a single evening to larger luxury candles. Light, wait for a pool of melted wax, blow out the flame and pour. Pour-spout tins make this neater.

Novelty message candles

Naughty Notes and the Kama Sutra Naughty range print a flirty line on the lid, which makes them an easy gift or a playful way to make a suggestion without saying it out loud.

Massage oils

Bottled oils from Anoint Perfumery, Foria and Sex Magnet. No melting or waiting, just warm a little between your palms. Foria's oil is made with organic botanicals; Anoint pairs lavender with vanilla or lime with coconut.

Pheromone-infused blends

Sex Magnet and Me and You candles and oils carry a pheromone fragrance alongside the scent. Enjoy them as a perfume you both wear during the massage rather than expecting anything magical.

Hemp seed candles

Earthly Body candles built on hemp seed oil, in seasonal scents. They are sold as multi-use candles rather than purely for massage.

How to choose massage and body products

Scent is personal, so pick by the notes you already like, then think about format and occasion.

• Candle or oil: candles bring warmth and ceremony; oils are quicker and easier to measure. Many people keep one of each.
• Scent: vanilla and amber are warm and sweet, lavender is calming, lime and coconut are fresh, leather and forest notes are darker.
• Skin: if you or your partner react to fragrance, test a small patch on the inner arm first and choose milder botanical oils.
• Size: mini candles suit a single evening or a gift; a larger tin or bottle lasts for many sessions.
• Gifting: message candles and boxed sets are made for giving.

How to use and care for massage and body products

Set the mood before you light anything: towels down, phone away, warm room. Massage candles are made to be poured onto skin, unlike ordinary candles, but always test the first drops on your own wrist before pouring onto a partner.

• Blow out the flame before pouring, and never pour from a height; keep the tin close to the skin.
• Warm bottled oil in your hands first and start with less than you think you need.
• Keep oils away from the eyes and off latex condoms, as oil can weaken latex.
• Massage products are not lubricants. For penetrative sex, switch to a product from our lubricants range.
• Cap bottles and lid tins after use and store them away from heat and sunlight.
