Prostate Massagers

What are prostate massagers?

Prostate massagers are toys designed with a curved shape to be used anally, where the prostate gland can be reached through the front wall of the rectum. People of all genders and orientations use them for intimate pleasure, whether in solo or partnered play, and many people find them interesting to explore at their own pace.

Types of prostate massagers

Curved wand-style massagers

A slim, angled shaft with a bulbed tip, often made from silicone, which is a common starting point for beginners.

Vibrating prostate massagers

These include a motor in the tip or shaft for added sensation, usually with adjustable speed and patterns.

Remote-controlled massagers

A wireless remote lets you or a partner change the settings, which suits shared play.

Stainless steel and glass options

Firm, smooth and non-porous, these are easy to clean and can be warmed or cooled in water before use. Only use glass toys that are made for body use and check them for chips or cracks before each use.

How to choose a prostate massager

• Safety first: Choose a toy with a flared base or a wide handle. This helps prevent it from going too far in.
• Materials: Body-safe silicone, stainless steel and glass are common. Avoid porous materials that are hard to clean.
• Size: A slimmer toy with a gentle curve is usually easier to start with. Move up in size only if you feel comfortable.
• Power: Rechargeable models are convenient and often have more modes. Battery models can be simpler.
• Noise: If you need quiet, look for models described as whisper quiet.

How to use and care for your prostate massager

Take your time. Relax, use plenty of lubricant, and insert slowly. Stop if you feel pain. Because the body does not make its own lubrication in this area, lube matters. Water-based formulas suit all materials, and silicone lube should be avoided with silicone toys. Our anal lubricants are made for this kind of play.

• Never use a toy anally that does not have a flared base.
• Do not move from anal to vaginal play with the same toy without washing it, or use a fresh condom.
• A condom over the toy makes clean-up easier and can be changed between partners.
• Clean with warm water and mild soap or toy cleaner before and after use, and dry fully. Only submerge it if it is waterproof.
• Store in a clean pouch, away from other toys.

Avoid numbing products, as they can hide discomfort. If you have pain, bleeding, haemorrhoids or a medical condition, speak to a healthcare professional before use.

Tips for beginners

Comfort comes first. Choose a quiet, private moment, and make sure you are relaxed, since tension makes insertion harder. A warm bath beforehand can help some people unwind. Begin with a slim shape and very gentle movements, and let your body set the pace. Many people find that getting used to the toy before turning on any vibration makes the experience more comfortable.

There is no need to rush, and there is no right or wrong way to explore. Some people prefer to start with external play, or to use a toy with a partner who can help with the controls.
